Every parent will understand the need for the school to continually review its security procedures and, wherever necessary, take reasonable actions to eliminate risk to our children and, in the unlikely event of a fire, safeguard everybody on site. With this is mind, it has been decided to tighten up our arrangements for access to the school site between drop-off and pick-up times.
A summary of the changes to procedures is listed below:
- Other than at drop-off and pick-up times, access to the school site during the day by parents and visitors should only be done via the School Office. In other words, parents should not access the school without first coming in through the office. The only exception to this will be on Wednesday afternoon for sports matches, or on days when we have arranged special events/ concerts etc. In which case, the school gates will be opened.
- From next week, the main entrance to Prestfelde House will operate a security buzzer-entry arrangement. Visitors will be expected to sign in and wear a badge.
