Our Facililties
We are fortunate to enjoy a beautiful location in Shrewsbury and our facilities are on a par with many Senior Schools. The stunning 30-acre parkland site is home to a mixture of beautiful Victorian architecture, modern purpose-built teaching facilities, outdoor play areas, extensive sports grounds, and a swimming pool which had a complete renovation in 2019.
Our children also benefit from our onsite Chapel and Theatre, purpose-built Music School, Design, & Technology workshop, Drama Studio, Library, two ICT suites, Art Studio, two Science Laboratories, Medical Centre, and a Boarding House which offers children the opportunity to experience boarding in a flexible, supportive way.
Swimming Pool
Built in 2015, Prestfelde's swimming pool is in constant use through the school year. Incorporated into the Prestfelde sports programme, it is also used by local Swimming Schools, out of school hours.
Music School
The Music School is a purpose built facilitly, overlooking the grounds at Prestfelde. As well as providing a bright and acoustic performing space, it also includes practice rooms for Prestfelde's team of peripatetic music teachers and an IT suite for music composition.
Cookery School
The Cookery School is a popular place for Prestfelde Pupils. Wether is baking cakes in an after-school club, or making pizza for a boarding night activity, the children flock to this purpose built facility.
Theatre & Chapel
The Blackburn Theatre & Chapel seats 280 people. Hosting concerts, shows, assemblies, celebrations and Chapel Services, the BCAT is a place for everyone to come together.
Boarding House
Refurbished in Summer 2022, our bright and cozy boarding rooms, can accommodate up to 20 people on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday night. Boarding at Prestfelde is offered at the start of Year 3 alongside a packed timetable of fun boarding night activities.
Gymnasium
A venue for any indoor sports, gymnastics, dance, ballet and more, the Gym at Prestfelde is a valued facility that the children experience as part of their PE lessons and after-school clubs.
Library
Bursting with books and including plenty of areas for quiet reading, the Senior School Library is a haven for bookworms. Books are regularly refreshed to allow pupils with a passion for reading, to indulge.
Dining Hall
A place for everyone to come together to recharge and refuel, the Dining Room is located at the heart of the School and is home to the School's wonderful catering team. Breakfast, breaks, lunch and evening meals are all served here.
