Drama

Drama has always played a great part in the school, and many of the fondest memories that Old Prestfeldians retain is of the school play – epic performances of “Barnum”, “Oliver!”, “Mikado”, “My Fair Lady” and “Little Shop of Horrors” in years gone by, and more recently appearances in the Theatre Severn as part of Shakespeare Schools’ Festivals with “Macbeth” and “Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Children cut their dramatic teeth in the Nativity Play in Little Prestfelde, and Middle School give up a term to preparing “Treasure Island” or the like.

We have good links with local senior schools who offer Drama workshops, and Drama is internally and externally recognised as a scholarship subject in which our candidates frequently shine. Head of Drama is Mrs Annabel Scott, who continues to raise the bar of excellence in performance for the seniors in our impressive facilities.
