Lunch time

At Lunch time,  pupils head over to the school Dining Room to enjoy a delicious homecooked lunch. Lunchtimes for each part of the School are staggered, so that the children can enjoy eating with their teachers and friends in an a more spacious environment.

Lunchtime isn't just about enjoying the freshly prepared food provided by Chef and his team, it is also about learning table manners and how to help others sitting at the table. Children are sat with their form and their Form Tutor to enjoy a meal together.

Learning through taste

Just like everywhere in Prestfelde, the Dining Room is another opportunity for the children to learn. Themed lunches are a much loved part of eating at Prestfelde. Supporting what is being learnt in the classroom, or celebrated in Chapel, Chef and his team integrate topics and themes into the menu. From Chinese New Year through to Mexican Day, the children all love to get involved and take full advantage of trying out new food, tastes and textures.

Pupils are encouraged to try new things, through a varied menu that is published at the start of each week. Rest assured that there is always something on offer that will satisfy everybody's taste.
