Prestfelde News

Join us for our next Open Morning

On Friday 1st October between 1030 – 1330, we will throw open our doors for prospective families who may be thinking of a Prestfelde education. It will be wonderful to be able to welcome prospective families interested in joining the school once again.  Since our last Open Day in our Autumn term of 2019, there have been a number of exciting new building developments including two modern Senior School classrooms, a long jump pit, science garden, Little P secret garden, and new storage areas. We are very much looking forward to finally being able to show these, our 30 acres of verdurous grounds and other facilities to all our visiting families.

Our format for the Open Day will be a little different from previous events, with the aim of offering an onsite experience that will give a useful insight into life at Prestfelde while mitigating the risk of transmission of Covid-19 infection as far as we possibly can.

We will host individual pupil-led family tours, and your guides will follow a prepared route around our grounds and buildings.  Our Head, Mrs. Fiona Orchard alongside Senior members of staff as well as our Registrar, Miss Pamela Roberts will be available throughout the morning to answer any questions you may have about a Prestelde education and there will be plenty of time to find out more about Prestfelde life and get a good sense of the opportunities we offer.

Our priority is to continue to deliver the highest-quality, on-site education to our pupils but, if we have learned anything from the experience of the recent past, it is that Covid-19 can still have an impact and so we must adopt a cautious approach and implement sensible, interventions to keep everyone safe.

To that end, all visitors to our Open Morning will be requested to take a lateral flow test on Friday morning before setting off for Prestfelde and not to attend if the result is positive.  Equally, if any member of your party is feeling unwell, please do not attend the Open Morning.  In either case, if you could let our admissions team know, they will get in touch with you to arrange an alternative visit.  We will also request that all visitors wear optional face coverings throughout their visit to the school, maintain social distancing as far as is possible and utilise the hand sanitiser facilities that will be available on the day.

Everyone with an interest is invited to register to attend our next Open Morning to secure an appointment time. To register to attend the Open Morning, please complete the online registration available at:
