Prestfelde secure exciting ISFA Cup victory

Prestfelde’s U13 boys secured an exciting 4–3 victory over Bolton School this week in the opening stages of the national ISFA Cup competition.

The boys found themselves trailing 2–1 at half time, but came out strongly in the second half and turned the game around. A determined performance saw Prestfelde score three further goals to take the match 4–3 and secure a well-deserved victory.

The ISFA Cup is the Independent Schools Football Association’s main Level 1 national competition, with schools from across the independent sector taking part. Matches are played on a knockout basis, giving pupils the opportunity to compete against schools from beyond their usual fixture programme.

For Prestfelde, the win represents an excellent start to the national competition and a reward for the boys’ determination to come back from behind. The result also adds to an exciting period of football for the U13 team, who continue to face strong opposition both locally and nationally.

Well done to all the boys involved,  a great team effort and an impressive comeback. We look forward to seeing how they progress in the next round of the competition.
