Our Remembrance Service yesterday has seen the whole school ‘socially distanced’ together for the first time in many months. To feel the warmth of our school community coming together and reflecting on memories of the fallen felt very moving in Covid times.
Our pupils were so respectful of the occasion and they remembered. Across the school, we have thought about the wider meaning of remembering, how important this is to us, and the precious memories we have of people who are very special to us. Our school leaders led the Remembrance with Reverend Alex and George, Head boy played the last post. Wreaths were laid and the Honour board was readout. Across the fields, silence prevailed. Until respectfully each child laid their poppy with their own individual thoughts and memories for loved ones.
