We are delighted to announce that we are a contender to win one of the highest honours in the independent school sector.
The Tes Independent School Awards 2021 are organised every year, with several categories to enter, and we have been shortlisted in the category of ‘Pre-prep School of the Year’ amongst some of the UK’s top independent schools.
As one of only eight schools in the ‘Pre-prep School of the Year’ shortlist, we will be invited to the first-ever virtual ceremony hosted online on 30 April when the winners of each category will be announced.
Mrs. Fiona Orchard, Head of Prestfelde said “Despite one of the most challenging years for educators everywhere we are absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted in the ‘Pre-prep School of the Year’ category.”
Mrs. Emma Thelwell, Head of Little Prestfelde added, “The foundations of education are the most important stage in a child’s development. Little Prestfelde offers a caring, nurturing environment that supports the development of a positive attitude towards learning; enjoying what they set out to do, fostering a desire to discover by exploring, and developing creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking. Our teachers ensure that every child progresses by following a unique and personalised learning journey.”
Tes editor Jon Severs said: “It is an honour to celebrate the Tes Independent School awards, not only to celebrate excellent practice but to ensure that practice is shared far and wide.
We received an unparalleled number of entries this year, which is a testament to the great work all have done during the pandemic. The schools that have been shortlisted should be proud – it’s a remarkable achievement”
