Welcome Back to School

This week we welcomed all our pupils back together, we were extremely proud of the remote learning provision we had put in place, which included a full programme of live and interactive lessons from early years through to Year 8, but the energy and enthusiasm this week has been unimaginable. In the classroom, on the games fields, at play, in music, art, drama, and every other aspect of our rich and diverse school life. All this activity creates a very strong sense of belonging and fellowship amongst all Prestfeldians.

It has been wonderful to be able to welcome families in the morning and see familiar faces. It is so important for all of our pupils to be back in school, not only for their education but for their mental health and wellbeing, the smiles around the playground have shown us all just how much they have loved seeing their school friends again. We also offer a warm welcome to all the new families who joined us in January who will be experiencing school life at Prestfelde for the first time this week.

Our Support Staff have worked incredibly hard to make our environment safe and engaging, and all pupils have once again shown their adaptability by successfully adopting our COVID safe routines with year group bubbles, increased handwashing, and social distancing back in place, with the additional new rules placed upon Year 7 and 8 pupils on wearing masks and lateral flow testing.

Welcome back Prestfeldians!
