PASTORAL & BOARDING
The welfare of our pupils, whether they are with us just for the day, or staying overnight with us, is paramount and we have a team of staff who are dedicated to just that.
From Matron through to our Well-Being Officers, the health and well-being of pupils is our top priority. We want each child to feel comfortable and at home when they are at Prestfelde. A number of academic and support staff support the House Mistress in her role.
Our on-site Medical Centre ensures that pupils and flexi-boarders have access to advice, care and support and our boarding house has resident members of staff who are First Aid trained. Prestfelde also offers a confidential counselling service to pupils. An experienced and well qualified counsellor is available, via the Medical Centre, for one to one appointments throughout the year.
Food is an important part of any pupils life and our flexi-boarders eat together for breakfast and supper, and with the rest of the school community at lunch. Breakfast includes fruit, cereal and toast while supper includes a choice of main course including at least one vegetarian option, and a salad bar, choices of dessert including fruit and yogurt. Special diets are catered for.
A home away from home
Children staying the night at Prestfelde enjoy a cosy home-styled environment, to help them to feel relaxed and rested. Our facilities are bright, clean and modern so everyone can wind down after a day of school and an evening of fun activities co-ordinated and led by our Boarding Team.

Spirituality
As a Woodard School, Prestfelde’s excellent education takes place within an actively Christian environment. We welcome children of all faiths to the school and our ethos is underpinned by its values which are explored through teaching, pastoral care, games and Chapel services.

A full tummy is a happy one - and thanks to Chef and his team here at Prestfelde, the children are always very happy! Fresh, delicious and the highlight of the day, we are spoilt when it comes to mealtimes at Prestfelde.
