Prestfelde is set in 30 acres of parkland on the eastern fringe of Shrewsbury, the county town of Shropshire – recently recognised as one of the top three places to live in the U.K.! Its situation gives ready access from the M54 and the by-pass, making it readily accessible by road. Originally an impressive gentleman’s family residence, Prestfelde House, together with Beckbury Villa and Highfield House (with their land), became a school from 1929, and Prestfelde is now recognised as a leading provider of education in the region.
While Prestfelde’s facilities are second to none among local prep schools, the glory of Prestfelde remains its extensive grounds, unexpected to many visitors – even those who live locally. The more than 60 species of tree within the grounds reflect the interests of a former teacher who planted many of them; they change with the seasons and form the colourful backdrop to this special place.
